Moss Agate
Moss Agate is a semi-precious gemstone belonging to the chalcedony family, a form of microcrystalline quartz. Its characteristic green, brown, black, or red "moss-like" inclusions are formed by trace minerals such as manganese or iron oxides. These dendritic inclusions often resemble foliage, ferns, or underwater plant life, giving the stone its distinctive and earthy appearance.

Typically translucent to milky white in base, Moss Agate is found in volcanic rocks or weathered lavas where mineral-rich fluids filled cracks and cavities, slowly crystallizing over time.
